06/04/15 | Wimberley Flood Relief Fund Raiser
We had a busy night at the Butterfly Gallery tonight; it was 1st Thursday community night. Thank you to all the good people who came out to support the Wimberley Flood Relief Fund Raiser. The whole town of Dripping Springs seemed to want to support their neighbors. One of my paintings for 100% donation sold and a floor cloth at 50% and I am happy for that. I know the new purchases will be appreciated as a reminder that they were purchased for a good cause. I think that is the reason why I decided to be a resident artist in a smaller community art gallery.
04/28/15 | Scroll work mural in circular entry
Scroll work mural in home with a circular entry. The two shadow boxes, facing each other, are inset by 3 inches. The model displayed small tiles, but this owner wanted something more personal. We created a one of a kind scrollwork of bronze, copper and patina copper with leaf end swirls to fill the spaces. The large pot holds tall creamy white orchids nodding in front of the scroll work. The two murals mirror each other.
